Allendale Square, Perth, WA
Allendale Square is a 31-storey office building located above a popular retail arcade that links Perth’s central shopping mall and train station to the Elizabeth Quay water-front tourist destination, bus port and train station. The building originally opened in 1976 and in August 2016 a $20 million transformation was completed. An underground food court consisting of 18 food and beverage outlets with seating capacity for 370 people was added to the building to service the 4000 nearby office workers and tourists.
Project Design Brief
The addition of food and beverage retail outlets to the building required trade waste infrastructure. Due to the below ground food court, finding space for the trade waste infrastructure was challenging. Designers required a versatile, economical and compact grease removal solution that could be accommodated in the underground car park.
