Marrickville Metro, Marrickville NSW
Marrickville in Sydney’s inner West is renowned for its industrial history and is home to a number of Victorian warehouses with a distinctive character that defines the area. Marrickville Metro is developing an existing industrial warehouse into a shopping centre housing 44 new retailers, including a number of indoor and alfresco dining options. The centre will retain much of the existing façade to celebrate the culture and history of Sydney’s inner West.
Project Design Brief
Each food preparation facility in the development requires a grease trap to treat tradewaste. With eight grease traps required to service the numerous restaurants, the excavation footprint was of concern to designers as available space was limited.
ACO's Solution
- ACO Passavant Lipumax-G 5000L grease trap
Benefits
- The cylindrical design of Lipumax-G meant the excavation required a smaller footprint than a rectangular trap
- A single point of access to the grease trap makes maintenance quicker and easier
- The trap is manufactured from durable glass reinforced plastic, which provides excellent corrosion resistance to tradewaste
Other ACO products used:
- Stainless steel channel drains (ACO Stainless)
- Cast floor and roof drains (ACO Wexel)
